I absolutley would because I love it! That being said I worked out most of my teenage and adult life - even when I was heavier. I am a much happier loving energetic person when I take that time for me. Not so much when I do not.

Being inactive and limited diet can cause muscles atrophy. The older we get the faster we may lose muscles. I had some minor surgery plus I was in an accident - I was hurting. I'm not just 6 -8 weeks I lost weight by losing muscles.

I don't like exercises, but I did no mind walking. But that was not enough to build muscles. I hired a personal trainer (who also specialize in injury prevention plus muscles recovery). In just 2.5 months I gained some muscles. I still don't like exercises. But I know I can't be inactive. It is not good for me and my body.

What does "have to" mean in the context of your subject line? If you think exercise is just for staying thin, then that's incorrect. Exercise is also important to maintain cognitive function with age - to me, that's a pretty big "have to" that we ALL must do. Regardless of whether we're thin or not.

I loved exercise when i was 100 pound heavier, so now it is just simple and fun. I look forward to MY time to just do what i want to do. I have never felt stronger or healthier then i do now. I plan on doing some form of excercise for the rest of my life.

Honestly? I guess I wouldn't - at least not the conditioning stuff.

I would still ride my bike to work because it feels good to get some endorphins before and after work and I also would do relaxing yoga sessions but I wouldn't e. g. do strength training if it wasn't for injury prevention and shoulder rehab/prehab.

I would still continue even if I didn't have to. Exercise improves my mental health giving me a sharp focus on all my work aside from that stopping exercise would lead me to a sedentary lifestyle.
