I forgot that I'm starting lifting weights this coming Saturday, last week I posted that I was starting that week.  But I'm starting this week.  The plan was to give myself a week to get adjusted to running and school before adding in lifting.

Monday - nothing planned, will be weight day in the future

Tuesday - running, stretching

Wednesday - pilates class

Thursday - running, stretching

Friday - piyo class, tai chi class, pilates class

Saturday - lifting

Sunday - running, stretching

Running last week went good.  I've restarted a 5k training plan and my shoulder hasn't given me any grief.  Yay!

May I ask what body pump is. sounds interesting.

Monday- I did an open water swim in Lake Ontario. The waves were crazy. I drank so much water it was gross

Tuesday. 60 minute easy run. I have so excited for the next 3 weeks I am running the run group. It is suppose to be a learn to run but if the same regular girls come out than I can make it harder. Looking forward to doing this

Wed swim

Thursday 50 minute run

Friday 40 minute strength and fitness

saturday 2 hour run

sunday 60- 90 minute easy ride

I am in a recover week. Getting nervous about the run

Body Pump is a class I take at my local Y. It is a hour long class. It is working all body muscles with low weights but using high reps!

you rocked it. amazing. i could not even think of running it in 4hours. I am happy being just over 6.

You will be great at the 50k race

Can i ask you a question. I am going to anyhow.

I have my long run coming up next weekend and it is suppose to be my longest run that i will have for my 50k race. My trainer is gone away so I can not ask her but she has me down for 4 hours and I am sort of worried that it is not long enough when i am looking at being out there on race day for over 8 hours. Do you think I should increase it to 5 or 6 hours or stay with her plan.

I am wondering if she is keeping it to 4 because of my knee issue and not wanting to put to much mileage on the knee.

Would love your advice. nerves are getting to me

Thanks. As far as the training, it depends I guess. Does your trainer have an understanding of how far 4 hours is in terms of miles for you?  I know that for me on a flat road that can be 25 miles but on some trails that's closer to 15. That's kind of why I don't like training plans based on time. If your knee can take it, I would make sure I had at least a 20 miler in the same type of terrain as the race. But the old saying is, it's better to be 10% under trained than to be 1% injured.

Thanks I know for 25k on the trail it took just over 4 hours. That is why we are figuring over 8 hours. I think i might up the hours up the hours if the knee is OK by than. I had a fall yesterday not running. It was an uneven road and I did not know it was uneven and my foot caught and down I went and my knee**** Not what I needed.  Thanks for your advice.
