Did you have to do a walk test pre-op?

In the start of my 6 month pre op program for vsg surgery, I had to do what they called the "Six minute walk test" where I had to walk up and down a hallway for six minutes next to the physical therapist. (It was humiliating but that's for another time)

She timed me and then gave me exercises to do at home and says I have to improve by 10%.

I'm wondering if anyone else had to do something like this, and I'm a little worried I won't have improved. I have been doing the exercises...maybe not as much as I should. So I am slightly worried about that. Any advice?

I did not have to do this either.  I'd say as long as you are improving, you are doing well.  Try to push yourself a little more each day.

Not quite as you explained but I did have to take cardiac test where I had to walk on a treadmill at different speeds for a number of minutes.
