Hey Gang! This is my first post, although I have been an avid follower for several months. Hoping to find someone who can give me a little insight or understanding on whats going on with my body these days. :)

I had surgery April 1st, 2015. HW: 318 SW:303 CW:187

I am incredibly diligent to sticking to the plan and am obsessed with driving adequate water, getting in enough protein, and taking my vitamins.

My question: Recently I have changed my workouts and increased by cardio to 60 minutes a day and added some additional weights to my normal routine. On a typical day, I am burning 800-1000 calories at the gym. I am completing week two today and tomorrow will be the first day of week three...SAD NEWS:  I haven't seen the scale move. Actually, there are days where I am up about 2.5 lb and then it drops back to 187. Prior to surgery, I was a fairly active person and throughout my WLJ I have found that when I change up my routine, my body transitions pretty well. This is been the first little hang up.

If you have any suggestions on what could be happening, how long to expect this stall, or if you have a similar experience...Id love to hear from you! Hoping we can rally together and not "sweat the small stuff". :)

How many calories are you eating? You may be putting your body in starvation mode.

Starvation mode is a myth.

What are your eating habits like?  Have you increased your food intake on days you exercise?  Lots of people fall into the trap of really believing they're burning 800-1000 calories in the gym and then eat more to compensate.

I am incredibly conscientious over my intake, eating 600-800 calories a day. 80-90 grams of protein. Thanks in advance for the help/insight!

As long as you're still eating on plan, the weight will come off.  I'm always a pound up after lifting weights.  My body like to hold water when I lift.  Since I know this, I don't even bother weighing those days.

Have you taken any body measurements?  You might be losing inches because it sounds like you have lost a lot of weight in a very short time and it could be catching up.  I have had the same issue and when I started doing my measurements every few weeks, that made me feel like what I was doing was making a difference.  The pounds will come off in time!  Great job!
