Weekly Workouts 8/17 - 8/23
This is sort of a normal week for me, yay! Well, the last of my current normal weeks. Next week is a chemo week so everything is different, and the week after is when school starts, so I get to add some new fitness classes! I still can't run, but I'm keeping busy with what I can do and physical therapy is going well so far.
M - physical therapy
Tu - bowflex, yoga class
W - yoga (going to the endocrinologist so I can't do my regular stuff)
Th - bowflex, yoga
F - piyozing class, tai chi class, pilates class, yoga
Sa - bowflex, yoga
Su - walk/run, yoga class
So I guess it's not totally normal, but I'm good with this :) How are you moving this week?

My shins are feeling great, so we are chalking it up to muscle pain. The last few days my daughter and I have been walking and my shins are doing well, and now I am dealing with muscle pain in other parts of my legs. We start our Couch to 5k training on next monday. I'm getting there!
The walking is going well, and I feel good. I'm proud of myself. I hate that I am retaining fluid because of the walks, but I know that will drop soon.
Monday - walk 1.5 miles
Tuesday - walk 2 miles
Wednesday - walk 4 miles split over 3 walks
Thursday - walk 4 miles split over 3 walks
Friday - walk 5 miles split over 3 walks
Saturday - walk 5k in 1 walk in neighborhood (I'm really curious as to what my walking time is for this.)
Sunday - rest.
Are you doing any stretching? I was having hip pain and once I started doing some light stretching with my warm up walk and then more stretching after my run, I have not had any pain.
It is pretty light stretching, just swinging my leg front to back and then side to side about 10 times and then repeat with the other leg. I do this about 5 times during my half mile warm up walk. After my run, I do about 3 sets of 10. I also do about 3 sets of 10 heel raises before and after.
