Good morning,

I just had to share my excitement.  I was always a fit fat person or so I thought.  (lol)  i ran half marathons worked with a trainer etc.  In Feb of this year i had my surgery.  I have lost around 77 pounds so far.  i used to ran a 13 min mile.  today in training for my next half i ran 9.75 miles average pace.  9:50.  I am just so excited had to share.

YaHoo - you were under 10 min miles over the distance.  Way to go!

Sorry about the delay in posting -- I was hiking and rafting the Grand Canyon.  I too thought  of myself of a fit person, no matter what my weight - but I could not have done many of the side hike if I hadn't already dropped a bunch of weight.

On to our next victories.

12:15 isn't bad.  at my high weight of 230 i was doing around a 14 min mile.  i ran 8 half marathons that way.  i have one in october this year.  cannot wait to see the differance this run.  i have loved running way before i ever lost the weight but now it is amazing to just run and not get tired.  let me know how it is going from time to time.
