July Goals
I posted my July goals in the weekly but wanted to start a thread specifically for monthly goals.
Walk/Run 120 miles - I am starting to get pain in my hips so it is slowing me down some. I can do the distance walking but it is getting hard to run for more the 30 seconds to a minute. I spoke to my rheumatologist a few weeks ago and he suggested if the pain persists, then I need to get xrayed to see if I am developing arthritis in the hips from carrying around so much weight for so long.
Bike 120 miles
Lose 5 lbs.
Surgery Date 04-22-14 HW 2011 388(lost 60lbs on WW, regained 40) Surgery Consult Weight 1/10/14 - 367 SW 357 - CW 9/15 210.

5K - 1st 59:00(9/14) PR 33:45(9/15)
10K - 1:14(10/15) 1/2 - 1st 3/20/16
Well, good news bad news. I made the goals for exercise with no problems. I walked/ran 123 miles and biked 168 miles.
That was not enough to overcome bad eating so I did not lose any weight.
As far as the problem with my hips, I think it is exercise related. I need to get into a stretching, strength building program. I found some videos on runners world that discussed the various hip pain causes and how an exercise program will control some of them.
