Well, I finally picked up my bike. I had picked a Fujitsu and put a down payment on it. Then went away for work. Came back and the guy said I would probably like a trek better. So I just picked it up. It rides Nice. Picture being posted in my photos. Since I don't know how to post on thread's.

Cool cool cool!!  What number is it?  I ride a Trek 7.3...I rode it to the coffee shop, paid the garbage bill, and to the bank this afternoon.  As the weight drops, the bike becomes more and more your friend...Easier to push you weight (body) through the peddles/gravity/resistance.

Funny I didn't know what the 7.2 was. Guess it's the model. I just went in and got one that fit me. 22.5 or 57 cm.

Good choice...You'll like it a lot.  Here are a few things I did to my Trek you may want to consider...Depending on cost and convenience.  I got a kick stand...Very handy.  I also paid about $60. more to get the handle bars raised about 1 more inch (special part)...That my not seem like much, but with a bad back, it was well worth it in my case.  The other thing I got was a more comfortable seat (bigger/wider).  Just some thoughts.  Brian

I did get the kickstand put on and the guy was nice enough to fit me to the bike at the bike shop. He said if there is any adjustments I or questions just bring it over. They also do a free tuneup once I break it in a bit. He said if I don't like the seat they have a few other choices I can swap with them. I'm lucky to have a nice bike shop were a lot of my friends frequent. I used to ride all over the place in high school and college, 20 to 30 miles a day. But that was many moons ago. And that was an old nishiki road bike.

What a coincidence!, I ride a Nishiki road/mountain bike now. I bought it years ago & refuse to give it up since nothing is wrong with it. I bought it in for a tuneup like a little more than a year ago & it all it needed was a derailler replacement. It still rides well even now & I hardly see these bikes on the road anymore.

I was thinking of getting a Trek bike since my riding is mostly urban riding, there was this nice bike going for $700. Invest in getting a bike rack & some panniers/bag in case you want to ride to work & have something other than a back pack to put a change of clothes in.

I bought an Ibera pak rak bike rack from Amazon. It works with their clip on top mounted bike pack & the side clip on bike bags/panniers. They made it to only work with their racks, but I find it well worth the investment. Kudos to you for investing in your health & riding! Gotta take advantage of the nice weather while its here!

I would love to have my nishiki. My brother left it out one day and it got stolen.
