Weekly workouts 3/23-3/29

Did the Shamrock Half on Sunday and it was SOO FUN!!! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beer-and-party-focused race.... But with the lag between winter training and before marathon training starts back up, my workouts will be pretty unstructured for the next month or so...

Monday: rest (driving from VA beach)

Tuesday: am 5mi run, 1000mts swim, 5mi pm trail run

Weds: 1000mt swim

Thursday: am run

Friday: 1000 mt swim

Saturday: solo pm trail run, 5 mi (note to self: figured out from where I've been hearing gunshots. Never running near weekend target practice location again.)

Sunday: fun run with friends, maybe up to 10mi

First ultra: Stone Mill 50 miler 11/15/14 13:44:38, First Full Marathon: Marine Corps 10/27/13 4:57:11Half Marathon PR 2:04:43 at Shamrock VA Beach Half-Marathon, 12/2/12 First Half-Marathon 2:32:47, 5K PR  Run Under the Lights 5K 27:23 on 11/23/13, 10K PR 52:53 Pike's Peek 10K 4/21/13(1st timed run) Accumen 8K 51:09 10/14/12.

I guess my body has been kicking & screaming for a rest week.  So this is it.  I am going skiing next week, and need to be ready to go.  

 

This week will just be yoga and maybe some time on the elliptical.

Tuesday-Friday---Nada...Have been really pushing myself and my body is just SORE all over...

I woke up on Sunday with a full blown sinus infection.  First one in YEARS, but I've been treating my body like **** so I'm not super surprised.  I tried to run on Sunday, but I gave up.  I didn't even try today.. 

Monday - yoga
Tuesday - balance and motion fitness class
Wednesday - bodyflow class, nia dance class
Thursday - 5k training and yoga stretching, I hope?  
Friday - tai chi class, pilates class!
Saturday - 5k training and yoga stretching or yoga
Sunday - 5k training and yoga stretching or yoga (whichever I didn't do on Saturday)
