Do any of you use the supplements sold by AdvoCare? If so, are they effective, and are they compatible with having had the types of surgeries we've all had? Thanks,

Hey Gwen, thanks for your response. Since my surgery, I have ramped up both my weight training and cardio workouts, and I'm wanting to make sure that I'm doing everything I can to maximize the effects of my workouts. Most fitness professionals advocate some sort of supplementation for your workout regimen. I also have several friends who sell the AdvoCare line of products, which, as a company, appears to have a very solid reputation. I'm curious to know if the Advocare products would be a worthwhile investment for a post weight loss surgery lifestyle. So, I'm certainly open to suggestions.

your post workout needs to be nothing more than a nice recovery intake of protein and carbs.  Weather it be from Supplements or food.  Any reputable protein supplement will work.  Quality beats name brand.  Look for something low in sugar and over all carbs so you can control the source and amount of our carbs.

Paul is right above. Dont just look at a brand. Look at the nutritional label and stay away from the sugars/fats/etc. Look for a good amount of lean protein and some carbs.
