Cardiac Stress Test????
When I had my lapband, I remember doing a cariac stress test. This time the Dr is not make me take the test because up to the last 6 months I've been a runner. Ive run 1 mile on the treadmill twice in the last month also just to see if I could (boy it was hard at this high weight). Im also a walker, been walking 2-4 miles a day or every other day since I got my date. So he said that was test enough because Ive never had any heart pain or relating problems.
For my lapband I lost 25 lbs before surgery which helped with the surgery and recovery. This time Im having a hell of a time losing much weight. Im down 10 lbs with 2 weeks to go. I hope the 3 day liquid diet sheds some LBS for me.
I had my EKG and it was normal. I have to do blood work tomorrow, Im sure it will be fine. Otherwise Im all set for surgery in 2 weeks 2/10 is my date.
Im nervous and scared for surgery, and worries about not being able to lose the weight after surgery. So many failed diets, so many failed exercise programs so much failure. Too much to think about. I wanted this permanent change to make a permanent change in my weight. What if its not permanent. What if I gain the weight back again. Too much in my head.
If you're not seeing a therapist already, I highly recommend that you do. It can be so easy to get sucked down into failure and a therapist will be able to help you break all of those negative cycles you've spent so much time in.

Uh.....you guys are my therapy? Actually the hospital nurse I spoke to the other day told me to start taking time out for myself before surgery and start getting into my own happy place. I like to meditate so will do that.
Im more anxious to get starting working on post-surgery weight loss rather than can I do it.
Sadly, we're not qualified professionals. Glad you're going to meditate, but you should still see a therapist!

A therapist you click with is invaluable. It can take a few tries to find one that you click with, but it's really worth it.

Hello and really great post. I applaud your honesty on where you are mentally. Congrats on the weight you lost before surgery which proves you can do it. There are no gaurentees when it comes to weight loss but the only way you lose the battle is to quit and you have come to far and gone through to much to do that. Look at the accomplishments you have made so far. Take a minute and pat yourself on the back and the next minute continue to strive forward. You can do it. I wish you much success.
