What can i take?
Steroids? A steroid shot might help? Aside from that, my advice would be to google non-nsaid anti-inflammatories and see what you find. It's a challenge, for sure.
You might consider physical therapy as things like stim and ultrasound might help. Are you seeing an orthopedist? I'd do that as well if you're not. Definitely treating the pain would be a good idea, since no one should live in pain, but it's important to find out why you're in pain too and an orthopedist should be able to help with that. And physical therapy too which can help with healing and strengthening the things that need strengthening.
I'm in physical therapy now, for my shoulder/neck, and it quite a bit. But I've done PT in the past for various other body parts.
But, anyway.. sorry for the ramble. Shots might be your best bet. (But see an orthopedist, not your regular PCP!)

What about plain old Tylenol? Does that work for you? It has helped immensely for me and my menstrual cramps.
