Weekly Workouts 12/15
I hope you are all prepared for the week ahead, I don't think I am! If only running around to get everything done before the holidays counted as exercise..
Monday: yoga at home - I'm trying out a new intermediate program which looks like it'll be attainable for me. I've mainly stuck to beginner programs so this is pretty cool.
Tuesday: 5k training and yoga stretching, yoga class
Wednesday: yoga class, zumba class - I've missed the past three Wednesdays due to varying reasons, so I'm glad that there's a chance I'll get back to my classes this week.
Thursday: 5k training and yoga stretching
Friday: rest day
Saturday: yoga at home maybe
Sunday: 5k training and yoga stretching

Good Morning!!!!
Gwen- it DOES if you walk fast enough! hehe power shopping!!! Here is what the week looks like for me at the gym
Monday- Shoulders / Arms
Tuesday- Back / Chest / Abs
Wednesday- Legs
Thursday - Shoulders / Arms / Abs
Friday- Back / Chest
Saturday- Legs / Abs / Calves
Sunday- Swim day! (I have been trying to talk my momma into going to a barre class on Sundays too!)
Prep for the June 2015 competition starts on January 5th so I'm holding off on cardio for as long as possible! haha
When did you start lifting? Were you at a certain weight or body fat percentage? I'm planning on starting in September when my fitness class membership ends (and with a trainer so I don't screw up!) but I was wondering where you were when you decided to start.

I started lifting about 6 months after my DS. I knew I didn't like cardio and I wasn't a huge fan of doing step class everyday so I literally spent a full week going from machine to machine at the gym and seeing how it works and what muscles it worked. I think this helped build a very solid base for me. I was at about 52% body fat at this point. Once I hit my goal weight at 150 I was still at 28% body fat but was able to really change my body composition with lifting and following a solid program once I decided to compete in bodybuilding. I am still 150 but my body fat is at 14% now. Working with a trainer will be a HUGE help and will take all of the guessing out of it.
Thanks! This is really helpful to me and I appreciate it! That's an AWESOME body fat percentage change!
