Anyone take bikram yoga here or hot yoga?

I work at a bikram yoga studio.

Was wondering how long after surgery you waited to start taking class again. I am pre-op surgery in december.

I was only allowed to walk for the first 6 weeks post-op. So I walked a lot!

Ask your surgeon for their specific rules.

Contrary to popular belief, Bikram yoga is not simply hot yoga. Bikram yoga is a series of 26 postures performed in the same sequence over 90 minutes. The conditions in the studio are 105-degrees and 40% humidity. Other practices may vary in the postures that are performed or the amount of time that the class takes, but Bikram is consistent.

I love bikram yoga! I would think about 6 weeks out from surgery you could give it a shot, and just listen to your body in terms of which asanas you're not ready for yet.
