Creatine?
Anyone here have any experience taking creatine post wls? I'd like to incorporate taking it to help with strength and muscle gain as that is the primary focus of my exercise program right now. I'm 14 months post VSG, down about 158 lbs. I weight train 5-6 days a week and do cardio 2 or 3 days for general heart health and endurance work.

I have been training for a bodybuilding competition for the past two years (I am almost 5 years out from DS surgery) I started drinking creatine with my pre-workout BCAAs and my post-workout shake (1 scoop of 5 grams each drink). On non-workout days I just drink one scoop with my BCAAs.
I have noticed a HUGE different after incorporating creatine into my pre and post workout drinks. Keep drinking LOTS of water to keep those muscles full and to get all the blood flowing.

I just wanted to say I am so delighted that you responded to my message. I think you are the first person I have seen on here training for a bodybuilding competition. I don't think I will ever compete but knowing there are women out there that started out like me and are now doing bodybuilding competitions is so inspiring. I love the gym and I want to build muscle and it's something that I wish was more common around here but I'm so happy I happened upon you and your blog :)
