Need Knee surgery in both legs
It would be three years ago when the orthopedic surgeon suggested I go for a Bariatric Surgery and lose 50 pounds before he would touch me for knee surgery. Here I am three years later and I went for the surgery and have lost 50 pounds however the process is slowing down. Every pound I seem to have to work for. My question is the only things I can do is walk. No Doctor will approve me for an exercise program. Even walking a little can cause pain and further difficulty in walking. Now a referral has been made to the orthopedic surgeon of which I am waiting for. I would like to exercise so what can I do?
Can you swim or do water aerobics? Are there any water based physical therapists in your area?

YOga-burns about 245 calories and hour.
Why dont you get a set of handbells/resistance bands and lift weights in a chair or a recliner? REsistance workouts burn fat and build muscle which burns more calories.
If you are a woman, as you age, you are suspible (sp) to muscle loss.
