Boy, this site has gotten quiet...Wondering if people go to other sites for their info?? Today I did what I usually do every day. I rode to the coffee shop (cup of soup and ice tea). In the afternoon my wife and I moved a bunch of tires around the farm (muscles I haven't used in awhile...rolling and lifting). Later I did 2 different rides around my side of town. About 9-10 miles total. Tomorrow I plan to ride to church...Ride to 3rd service...Wash my hands and not sit near anyone (smaller crowd). Yeah, I know it's called fellowship...Just don't think people want to smell my BO. My church has a garden in the back. Hope to grab some fresh vegetables for a stir fry later in the day. On the way back hope to hit the coffee shop. The church is a little over 5 miles each way...A few stoplights. Maybe in the evening I'll do another ride. Getting on my bike really allows me to think and chew on thoughts going through my head (sometimes in one ear and out the other)...Brian
I know, right? Though being bariatric and athletes, where else would one go? :( Glad to see that you're still biking, Brian - - I'm still trying to resist the tri koolaid! It's bad enough they've got me brainwashed into thinking I can do an ultramarathon this year! :)

So Nfarris...Why not take on a Mini Tri? Just wondering how your swimming and biking skills are. If I was 20 years younger I might do it. With me, I have back issues...The pounding from running just makes it worse. Also I get so cold when in the water. A few years ago (post op) I was working as a security guard in the summer. It was 102 in the shade on a blacktop...I was cold!! I kid you not. So unless the water is really warm...It's no fun at all to be in it. Anyways...Could a mini triathlon be in your future??
I'd probably have to re-learn to swim (and look for races that are wetsuit legal!) and invest in a bike, and train like a mofo..... But, yeah, it's probably in my future since I have friends & coaches who do full & half IronMans!

Saturday I did a hill workout on the bike - 90 min, 15.5 miles followed by a quick run 2.25 miles
Today I did a Mass Swim Start practice to help out a friend and then swam 1.3 miles and another quick run, only 2 miles this time as I had to go get my kid from camp.
