It was awesome! I ran with my favorite running buddy thru the whole thing and we even got him a course PR! Lots of trail-related stories, like getting cussed out by some prissy runner who got mad that we splashed her running thru a mud puddle *** get over it!), a couple bad-ass stream crossings that we hit like champs, and some hills that EVERYONE walked. I can't imagine getting that kind of elevation and trying to run it.... My buddy asked me at the end, "so, do you think you could do 39 more miles after this?" and surprisingly my answer was an honest YES! So hopefully we'll spend the summer training for the Stone Mill 50 miler (in addition to training for Marine Corps Marathon!).
