How early to start

hello! I was just wondering how early did you start dieting before the pre op diet?
Depends what you mean and what your surgeon or your insurance requires. My surgeon required NIH criteria, which was proving that I had medically supervised attempts at weight loss (documented within the past 2 years before seeking surgery), and additionally did a 6 month medically supervised bariatric diet prior to surgery.

I've already been approved. My surgeon wants me to start his special diet 2 weeks before surgery. I was just wandering if people started earlier to get ahead of the game.
