Tuesday workouts/training/etc

Just did a 2.75mi at 10min/mile pace and probably will do a trail run later today...ETA: trail run #2 of 5 miles! Discovered that when you fall on your butt in the snow, it doesn't hurt! :p

My body is frustrating...few weeeks ago it was a lower leg problem that finally got better w/ rest and icing, now I am dealing w/ aVERY sore foot..think I am gonna take a break from running and do other exercise like swim, spinning, etc...Hate getting older!

My aging plan is this: do ultras and try to qualify for Boston in the next several years, then when my body starts fighting the "running only" diet, I'll drink the tri/IM kool-aid! ;)

But.... IM is expensive! So apparently I'm gonna have to save for that plan....

Sounds like a good plan..I got to the gym and did 45 minutes on the elliptical, foot still sore more ice and rest hopin it will be better soon!

I am only continuing 7 miles. And trying for the 10 miles. I will do. I will not lose my confidence.

I haven't posted here in ages, but that doesn't mean I haven't been doing my thing!!  I'm now working toward 10 miles running on Saturdays and will be there by May 1st (my 49th birthday).  My goal is to do the Mercedes 1/2 in Feb 2015.  I'm still doing boot camp and running mostly, haven't hiked at all this winter, which is odd, but just didn't have time to squeeze it in.

Waiting on my grandson to get here in June!!  Can't wait to make a runner out of him!!

Congrats on your grandson! This'll be a busy summer for you! :) I may just have to make a trip down to AL next feb to run that half with you....

Track workout! Because I've mostly been doing track workouts, I'm not sure where I am on my goal to run a 5k. I'm going to go out today and see how long I can run before I have to stop.
