Tuesday workouts/training/etc

Ran 6.27 mi with my coach/buddy & another running friend (who just finished her first Ultra this weekend! 50k, I'm in awe!).... Training tomorrow of hill repeats is on, come hell or high snow and just got an invite for my first trail run this Saturday of 6 mi.... My running dance card is filling up this week!

First ultra: Stone Mill 50 miler 11/15/14 13:44:38, First Full Marathon: Marine Corps 10/27/13 4:57:11Half Marathon PR 2:04:43 at Shamrock VA Beach Half-Marathon, 12/2/12 First Half-Marathon 2:32:47, 5K PR  Run Under the Lights 5K 27:23 on 11/23/13, 10K PR 52:53 Pike's Peek 10K 4/21/13(1st timed run) Accumen 8K 51:09 10/14/12.

My trainer got married this past Saturday, so she is in Whistler, Canada on her honeymoon (Floridians go cold places lol ).  I didn't want to slack this week, so I am training with another trainer.  She is like a tiny porcelain doll - perfect skin, thick shiny hair, impeccable posture - and sooo soft spoken and sweet.

I think she tried to kill me.    :)

warm up - 3min on rower
3 stations, 50 sec work, 10 sec rest, 4 rounds

assisted pullups
25lb plate split squats (back leg on 16" box) (each leg 50sec)
25lb squat overhead press

THEN -  to the aerobics room for
30 sec work/ 10 sec rest -  right jab on punching bag, left jab, then straight on alternating jabs    (2 rounds)
battle ropes -  single arm alternating, slams, double waves  -

My arms are pretty much useless. And my legs. My legs are done too.

I did not see a Wednesday thread, so posting here. 

I started out my birthday with a 5K run with my husband and I am LOVING that my short run each week is a 5K now. No person on this planet is more surprised by that than myself!

I'm in TOTAL awe of your friend who did an Ultra this weekend, too! WOWZA!

    

HW333--SW 289--GW of 160 5' 11" woman.  I only know the way I know & when you ask for input/advice, you'll get the way I've been successful through my surgeon & nutritionist. Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

On Tuesdays I run. I tried 2 min run, 1 min off but I couldn't really see my watch so it was kind of irratic. But I got in 2 miles total and felt pretty good.

i run about 3 miles on Tuesday. i try to do some other methods for health. this is one of my favorite task.
