Fri-Sun Workouts - It's the weekend!
I started my weekend off right! This morning I did my serious strength workout as usual. Then after work I went for a short run with a friend and then we swam laps at the Stanford rec pool. That place is FREAKING AMAZING. I want that pool in my backyard!
I think tomorrow is going to be a rest day and Sunday I'm going bike riding most likely.

Friday's plan was to do group hill repeats at 5p.... well, since I was done with work early & we're a single-car household, I parked the car at the metro station and ran from there to our meeting place. However, showed up way earlier than anyone else, so added on another mile or so. Did 4.40miles at 10 min/mile pace just on my own. Then we did another 5 miles of hill repeats as a group. My buddy/coach asked me "was this supposed to be your long run?" I laughed b/c I totally didn't intend on doing over 9 miles on Friday, it just kinda happened! Today (Saturday) is rest day - - also known as "girl gotta get her bank on" day. Tomorrow (Sunday) we have a 13 mile run planned. Gotta sedate myself to go to sleep tonight b/c I'm SOO looking forward to running with my gang!

Saturday was the PEnsacola Double Bridge Run 15k - through downtown Pensacola, over the Pensacola Bay Bridge ("3 mile bridge" to the locals), through Gulf Breeze to the Bob Sikes toll bridge (HILL) onto the beach. I love this run! I didn't beat last year's time, which was pretty frustrating, but Monday I start training specifically speed / endurance with my trainer for my March half marathon, so onward and upward!
