What do you eat/drink before working out?
I'm wondering what others do when working out? I go to the gym in the morning after dropping my oldest at pre-school (hooray for childcare at the gym!!). This means that with rushing around I usually drink my coffee and some water while getting ready and have half a Premier Protein shake on the way to the gym. On the drive back I have the other half and then about an hour later I have an early lunch.
What do you do? Do you find you need more energy? Or does anyone go on an empty stomach?
Thanks!
Your routine sounds perfect.
I drink my protein shake on the way to my workouts and fini**** after most of the time and that works for me better than anything else I do.

I have 10 grams if protein about 75 minutes before my runs and a protein shake very soon after coming home. Eat closer to the start if a run and I will throw up on the street (guess his I know?) :) and if I eat way too long before, I feel like I'm crapoing out before the run is over. I have had up to 40 grams before a run, but typically 10 is my new "keep it light, but keep me going" amount.
and I really try to poop prior to a run.
