25th and 26th...what workouts are being done this weekend?
on 1/25/14 10:22 am
I am in week 3 of training for my first half marathon in May and ran just over 4 miles today. I am really loving the running--even in 28 degree weather!
There is either a serious learning curve with the Garmin 220 Forerunner OR I am a ding-a-ling. I am not sure which. ;)
But LOVE LOVE LOVE the days I run!!
Okay-who else is getting their burn on this weekend?

Fantastic--I am jealous you are anywhere that the weather is nice enough for a bike ride!

Saturday I did a 4.5 mile run over the toll bridge to the beach (over and back, twice) - HILL!
Then I did "farm" work as well as moving 4 wheelbarrow loads of dirt :)
Sunday Rest day
Sounds like quite the workout--I know how taxing farm work is!!

Saturday was rest day (though ran up & down the stairs in my office building out of boredom & to warm myself up - way freezing here in MD!). and Sunday we did our 12 mile run - - icy in spots but mostly good until I realized the hose to my CamelBack froze, so I had no water for the whole run! Borrowed a bit from others, but did feel kinda dehydrated at the end. Made up for it once I got home and now I'm peeing every 20 min!

I have wondered about the freezing of water on runs. Do you think one of those air activated heating pads wrapped around it would hel*****t be nearly enough?
