Saturday was "rest" day.... as in working my butt off to earn money. Sunday we did an 11 mile group run, and it was so warm that we didn't even see any icy spots!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I did a 3 mile run on Saturday and a 7 mile run today...what a difference a day makes Saturday rainy and miserable today, but happy to get my work done!

Saturday I did my 2nd Half Marathon - the Mississippi Blues.  O.  M.  HILLS!!!!  I knew there were hills... thought I had mentally braced for them. but mercy at the hills!!

Good swag, serious medal and great volunteers.  Horrible course ( beyond the hills - it was a "break ankle special" - pot holes, uneven pavement, cracked pavement, course crossed a street under construction) and no spectator support (there was a fold out table around mile 8 with a white poster board with "spirit station" written in black marker... nobody there so I guess it was literally  "spirits" manning it lol.  Even at the finish chute when I took out my earbuds there was just one or 2 scattered "good jobs" throughout the crowd).

Wow, that's one heavy metal! So glad you got your 2nd half under your belt, even if it was a "meh" kind of race - - guess they don't know how to appreciate runners in Mississippi? I'm totally gonna steal that phrase from you ("break ankle special"), lol!!!
