30 mins of Finning - Butt Kicker

Went Swim finning on Monday for 30 mins. It is still kick my but 2 days later. I really enjoy it but the recovery time is serious. I read online that it could take up to several weeks for your body to get use to it because you are using muscles you barely ever use and you work your large muscle masses of your legs really well so it take time to get use to it.

Anyone else have any experience with finning and recovering from it?

Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

Swimming with flippers it makes you use more of your legs muscles there are also fins for your hands but I think they are a little awkward. It increases resistance so you are working harder. But you swim faster so it more fun.

My kids had the hand fins for fun (pretending they were fish) when they were younger. Interesting, I did not know it was every used as an enhancement by adults. I do know when I am swimming in the ocean with flippers, I feel a difference! Might have to give it a try in the pool this year!

Look up swim drills and it will give you ways to be more effective when using hand a foot fins.  They are designed for a specific purpose but can be adapted for things like you are doing.  The main purpose of fins are to work on form and become more efficient.
