Knee issues

I am having issues with my knees. One knee is almost completely bone on bone and the other is close. The Dr did cortisone shots about 8 weeks ago and I've done really good. That's till I tried the new AMT machine at the YMCA.  I need help with figuring out other ways to exercise, please.

I too have knee issues. When I was in PT at the Sister Kenny Institute they had a NuStep machine which the YMCA procured during their '2012 make-over'. The NuStep was a god send as I also had herniated disks in the sacrum/low back, had steroidal nerve block injections last year. I couldn't walk without pain, a combination of back and knees. The workload setting is adjustable, it's a great machine, it's not elliptic nor the full range as a bike, it's a low sitting machine. It's great!

Just my thoughts for a very very low-impact cardio + arm strengthening machine.

Good luck!

Here's the NuStep company website for more info.

Thank you so much I'm going to the Y tomorrow so I will see if they have that machine and I will try it.

If they do start out at the lowest 'workload' level, even if you feel no resistance.

Are you going to do a TKR?

No one had even said anything about that yet.

You might want to ask your orthopedist. Bone on bone? I'd be wanting it, personally!

I haven’t any knee problem but there is one exercise that you can do easily that is you can sit on a chair and can put your foot on other chair as by doing this your knee will be slightly raised by little stretching.
