Weekend workouts/training/etc
Friday I got just a bit over 2 miles in my in-laws neighborhood, at a somewhat more respectable 10 min/mile pace. After flying home late last night & volunteering at refreshments 2 hrs before the race, I ran in a 10 miler and got another PR (I think, we'll see what the official times are when they're posted). I think I'm starting to love this course as it's the 2nd PR in 2 weeks! And I broke my psychological wall.... I'd not done double-digit miles since the marathon a month ago! Ah, so I'm not cursed.... I can run long distances again!!!
We'll see if I feel like running tomorrow. How about yous guys? Running the Turkey off yet?
ETA: official time was 1:35:57 for the race on Saturday.... Today (Sunday) probably won't run b/c it's enough exercise just decorating for Xmas!

Friday morning I did my favorite class, Spinnerval. It was a kicker! Spin 3 songs, circuit, spin 3, circuit, spin 2, circuits
Stations were 1 minute - hand release pushups, box jumps, 35lb Kettlebell swings, 2 rounds each circuit
Saturday I did a 10k on the beach and it was almost the same time as your 10miler lol (1:11)
For the past week I have been "dog sitting" a dog. I trapped him back in September, he was an emaciated stray in our work parking lot. The lady that has been fostering him was out of town for Thanksgiving, so I have had him. he has to stay kenneled most of the time, but when I take him out several times a day, he LOVES to run. Usually we just do a mile, but he has gone 2 with me and loved every second.
Also, "unofficial" workout that was a real workout - Friday I spent about 2 hours helping the humane society rescue a neglected 130lb pot bellied boar. He was not friendly and we couldn't get the trailer to the corner of the pasture where his pen was. So I wheelbarrowed a kicking (like a mule) and squealing (ear piercing) boar hog to the horse trailer and then picked him up and set him in before I darted out to avoid his tusks (I read Ol' Yeller, I wasn't playing with this guy!).
hehehehe I love my life
Sounds like all that strength training has been put to good use! I'm imagining you hauling a resistant pig and it's making my muscles sore just thinking of it!!! You rock!

If the weather is good on Sundays I ride my bike to church...5.2 miles to get there. Some stop and go lights to deal with. I did that today. I go to 3rd service and try not to sit next to anyone (smell)...Yeah, I know, not the true meaning of fellowship. But the service has a smaller crowd and I wash my hands and clean up before I go in.
I'll be sending you thoughts of strength & positivity for an awesome finish!!!!
