Stretching exercise

My surgery date is 12/10/13.  I am so out of shape, a feel very stiff.  I find it very hard to pick up fallen things from the floor.    I'm 58, is it too late for me to limber up?

Hello Lovetoctuz!
I don't think it's too late. It's never too late. Use the time you have left and start doing some low impact exercises. I always find some videos on the internet and exercise with it. It's a lot easier as there is a whole training program to follow and you don't need to go to gym, you only need a computer and a little space. Keep my fingers crossed for you. I'm still planning my surgery and I don't have a fixed date yet. That's why I signed up here, I hope to gather as much info as I can.

Heck no! There are plenty of older ladies and men in the yoga and Pilates classes in my area! Find a yoga studio and let them know flexibility is a goal and they should work with you!

What part of NC are you in presently? I am in the Charlotte metro area.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
