After being out of commission for 2 weeks, except one trainer session over a week ago, Friday's workout nearly did me in. It was UGLY.  I spent 5 days in Texas visiting family, then within 3 hours of getting home I was at the ER with my mom, who was admitted to ICU for 5 nights and 6 days before going to a regular room for 4 days.

Friday -  my trainer's "Birthday workout" - 3 rounds

12 burpee to box jump
12 35lb Sumo Squat High pull
12 jump pullups
12 lunges, 25lb plate overhead
400m run  (5.5)

Next 2 rounds she increased reps to 20

Today I NEED to run.... Sprint Tri in 2 weeks

I'm sorry to hear about your mom!!

Friday's solo run was sucky.... eeked out 9 miles with way more walk breaks than is my norm, so averaged over 11 min/mile. Poor time management and poor eating choices earlier in the day.... meh.

Saturday was rest day, Sunday is a 10 miler that should be fun - we're running the final 10 miles of Marine Corps Marathon and then a party on the rooftop of the Dept of the Interior, where we'll do photos and get our racing singlets! OMG 36 more days, I can barely stand the suspense!!
