Weekend Workouts
Has been a little while since I posted here...so, just to catch up been doing some lifting on nautilus type machines at the Y and the best is my workout partner is my 13 yr old son. One of the gifts of this surgery, teaching healthy lifestyle to my kids!
Today I did my 1st 5K in a while. Pretty good finishing in 26:30 for an 8:35/mile pace....
Yours in WLS Journey,
Bill Mac
Finally broke th e15-16 mi barrier and went 19 miles today. I wanted to go 20 but the turnaorund point didn't quite give me enough. I did most of it on the big chain ring on the front too which normally I don't do. I'm paying for that a bit but I think I'll be able to recover for my swim tomorrow.
The Olympic distance AquaBike is in 2 weeks and I'm hoping to get around the pier tomorrow in a reasonable time and then do a 25 mile bike next week and then I'll feel ready.

Hey, my OWS turned into a race. Since there were only 2 of us women in the "Swim-only" category, I won most of my entry fee back! LOL
