Weekend Workouts - Fri - Sunday
I went on a bike ride today. Almost 16 miles. I need to get up to 26 miles for my race in 3 weeks so that's not too good but I had to take some time off due to some health issue and didn't lose any fitness at least.
Tomorrow I'm volunteering at a race all day. We're the first and last Aid station on the Run course and I have a tradition to uphold of not shutting down until the last racer comes by!

Ran 10.12 miles on Friday at 9:49 min/mile pace as a solo run - wonderful temp & sunny here in DC!
Today (Sunday) we have Parks Half-Marathon, part of the RRCA regional championship. Not gonna be racing, as it's a long run for our marathon training, but I'm looking forward to it despite being kinda sleep deprived - had leg cramps last night so only got around 5 hrs sleep. Decided to up my potassium supplements to see if that helps...

I find in general it takes that long for things to show up on the scale. That includes over-indulging too.
For things like increasing the intensity of my workouts -- that takes two weeks.

I ran 10K Saturday. I got out an hour later than I wanted to because of a crisis at the office. It was HOT, and I had to walk portions that were in full sun due to the heat. I finished at 15 min mile......not stellar, but okay for me. I run like a heard of turtles running through peanut butter.......BUT I RUN!!
Oh, and I just ordered the most obnoxious pair of new running shoes this morning.....multi neon colors...and of course Saucony...my faves.
I can always tell when it is time to pull the trigger and get new runners........Saturday was THAT DAY.
Tonight I have advanced boot camp. Yeah.............
