Tuesday workouts
Ran 6.83 miles with my "sole" sister, hot & humid but we had great conversation to get us thru!
First ultra: Stone Mill 50 miler 11/15/14 13:44:38, First Full Marathon: Marine Corps 10/27/13 4:57:11, Half Marathon PR 2:04:43 at Shamrock VA Beach Half-Marathon, 12/2/12 First Half-Marathon 2:32:47, 5K PR Run Under the Lights 5K 27:23 on 11/23/13, 10K PR 52:53 Pike's Peek 10K 4/21/13, (1st timed run) Accumen 8K 51:09 10/14/12.
Good session with my trainer
3 min walk on TM
3 stations, 10 reps, 5 rounds
20lb dumb bell clean and press, 30lb dumb bell deadlift, pushups on the lower rack of captains chair
I felt fine during training, but in the locker room between session and my spin class I started feeling really really horrible. Dizzy, sweaty but cold, nauseated. I sat for a long time with my head in my hands just trying to let it pass. Then I got up and went to spin. If I weren't a) too arrogant b) so far from the door, I would have left class. I was that sick. I made it through class and felt so bad i was afraid to drive home. After while I managed to get home, soaked in a HOT bath then went to bed under covers. no fever, just chills and feeling wretched.
So... planned rest day tomorrow and proud of it

Three mile recovery run. My run the day after speedwork is supposed to be slow, slow, slow but I didn't look at my watch at all (by design, I check it way too much) and I ended up going way too fast (like 3 min/mile too fast!!).
I'll probably pay for it later today during my tempo run.
I'd been guilty of that too.... Maybe not 3 min/mile too fast though, jeez! You're a speed demon!!!

Ha! Not even close. It's that my recovery pace is pretty conservative, 12:23-13:14. Still not breaking any land speed records and looking at a 4:40+ time for the marathon :).
It is pretty nifty that my pace is improving some with real work with a real coach as opposed to my previous plan of going out and hoofing it for 7 miles 6 days a week at the same effort level and wondering why nothing was happening!
