Saturday was rest day (ha, I wish! More like drive for 6 hours round-trip to a b-day party and arrive home WAY late at night!)

Sunday was the long run - 16 miles of "I wish I'da had more than 4 hrs of sleep last night". Ugh. Well, not every run is gonna be awesome....

Saturday - 17 miles!! Our running coach couldn't be with us today, he was a sponsor at a 5K so had to be there instead. He left us this on the greenway. I came across it at mile 7 and had been having a hard time getting over my initial starting "hump." It was just what I needed!

Sunday - Rest day.

That's awesome! Coaches do so much for getting you thru training, and not just physically but mentally/emotionally/spiritually - their words can get you thru the hardest runs, just by knowing they believe in you when your own belief in yourself falters!

awww yay for the coach putting up the sign!

Saturday I did my 5 miles for half marathon training and managed to stick my goal pace  (aiming for a 2:45 half )

Yesterday -
5.52 miles, avg pace 11:42, total 1:04:36
Splits - 11:34, 11:48, 11:19, 12:09, 11:43

August 10
5.68 miles, avg pace 11:41, total 1:06:24
Splits 12:10, 11:39, 11:47, 11:58, 10:47

Then, after a cool down and stretch, I walked my 2 Labs for a mile, this photo was about 1/4 mile from home lol

The guy next to the road is Riley - he's about 3 maybe (he is a "found" dog, so no real age known) and the darker fella is my heart, Rio.  He is a little over 5yrs and has had double knee surgeries for ACL (plates and screws). That, and he is spoiled to the AC lol

Today's Tri group training was canceled due to weather (again!  welcome to the Sunshine state?).  I will get a walk in on the TM at work, then I'll go to the gym tomorrow for a class.

I attended a Total Immersion workshop all weekend. It was AWESOME! My swim stroke has improved so much. I can't recommend this program enough.
