Weekend Races / Training
WOW what a day!
cut grass (riding mower), grilled steaks, helped my mom, loaded 3 wheelbarrows of dirt (4 if you count the one I dumped over and had to reload), 2 loads of dirt to the chicken pens (3) and 1 to the barn, cleaned one stall, bathed 3 dogs, and then did a 4.18 mile run / walk in 53 minutes (95*), walked / stretched for 15 full minutes before my heart rate stayed below 130, paddled around the pool for a few minutes, showered, chased a loose rabbit for 10 minutes, now baking my salmon and sweet potato.
Tri training in the morning
I was supposed to go on a group bike ride but I had some sort of weird reaction to Tylenol PM in the night and was still shaky in the AM so I slept in. I'm swimming at a local reservoir tomorrow with some friends. Don't know how far I'll go but I plan to swim for about 45 min.

Group Tri training this morning - managed about 500yds open water swim before my shoulder started kicking up; then on the 18 mile bike I was sticking with my friend, thankfully, because about mile 9-10 - on the way back- she was so dehydrated she nearly passed out. I gave her my water bottle w/ water / coconu****er in it, then a guy came by and gave her his bottle of gatorade and THEN she started sweating. She refused to let him call someone to come pick her up (the group president is a physician!), so we walked some, rode some, stopped so she could get in the shade, walked, rode. After hanging out in her AC car with some water she felt better and made it home to spend the day resting and HYDRATING
Saturday was rest day and Sunday was Half-Marathon #4 DONE! We weren't officially racing, as it was part of marathon training but even so we did a really respectable pace: 10:24 min/mile for a total of 2:18:50....

8 mile run back in the the town where my gastric bypass journey started. I wanted so badly to run then, but I can now. Pretty emotional to run in the places I had dreamed of running when I was 325lbs. :-) Tri training continues. On countdown, 8 weeks until Augusta. Wow. It will be here fast.

That's so awesome! I did a similar run back in April and it's amazing to run in places so meaningful!
