just 9 days post-op....but when did YOU start a vigorous workout?

Seriously woke up today feeling almost myself again since surgery. I even walked a normal pace. My question is can I jump right in to circuit training, aerobics, etc or is there a time frame I should wait until my body is fully healed?

What do you recommend especially for flabby arms, lower stomach and thighs to help tighten up the most with the rapid weight loss to come?

Thanks !

I was back to the gym by 2 weeks. But I couldn't do anything that stressed my core for two months. And I had weight/lifting restrictions for the first 6 weeks. Most surgeons have these to prevent incissional hernias.

Congrats on getting your energy back!! My surgeon restricted weights until 6 weeks out and I really never did core work. I started walking at about 5 weeks postop (b/c I felt like a zombie until then!) and then incorporated jogging and transition to running over several months. Running is really the only thing I've done but find it really toned my body good!! However, it is good to work on strength training, no matter what you do for cardio....

I started water aerobics at 3 weeks but was not allowed to do any weight lifting or core exercise until after the 6 week mark.
