Weekend workouts/training/etc
Saturday - ran 6 miles as I opted for a rest-day yesterday and boy was I glad - needed the rest and it got me a 9:30 min/mile pace today!!
Sunday - tomorrow is a 15 mile group run. OMG.... looking forward to it but getting to distances that are way further than I've ever done!
First ultra: Stone Mill 50 miler 11/15/14 13:44:38, First Full Marathon: Marine Corps 10/27/13 4:57:11, Half Marathon PR 2:04:43 at Shamrock VA Beach Half-Marathon, 12/2/12 First Half-Marathon 2:32:47, 5K PR Run Under the Lights 5K 27:23 on 11/23/13, 10K PR 52:53 Pike's Peek 10K 4/21/13, (1st timed run) Accumen 8K 51:09 10/14/12.
You will OWN it! Go for it!
Friday - Spinnerval (circuit 30sec work, 10 sec rest - jump rope, suicide jumps, plank hold, body weight squats, etc - jump rope between each exercise)
2hrs later I trained with my sadistic trainer lol - 10 minute steady pace run. Only a 4.5 pace but it literally drags me down keeping one pace, even slow.
Then - EMOM (every minute on the minute) - 3x 65lb hang clean, 3x assisted pullup, then finish the minute with walking lunges. 15 minutes (15 rounds). OH.... all with a 20lb weighted vest.
Today I cut grass (riding mower) and then unloaded and stored 600lbs of animal feed (12bags). PUshing a wheelbarrow through mud in the rain should count as a workout lol - especially since my legs are so crazy sore I hover over any chair debating if I would rather just stand.
I was supposed to ride with my club yesterday but I missed it due to a work commitment. So I rode on the trail by my house today instead.

I finally competed my first sprint tri this weekend. I finished 3rd in my age group.
The swim was a disaster, I was kicked in the face and took in a lung full of water. I recovered after the race volunteers saved me after about 10 minutes and went on. I made time up on the bike ride, then struggled a bit on the 5K.
I was whooped but what an emotional high for finally doing it.
