Thursday workouts/training
Ran 2.75 at a (for me) pitiful 11 min/mile pace. Um, guess I better stop these 2-a-days because they're really tanking my pace!
First ultra: Stone Mill 50 miler 11/15/14 13:44:38, First Full Marathon: Marine Corps 10/27/13 4:57:11, Half Marathon PR 2:04:43 at Shamrock VA Beach Half-Marathon, 12/2/12 First Half-Marathon 2:32:47, 5K PR Run Under the Lights 5K 27:23 on 11/23/13, 10K PR 52:53 Pike's Peek 10K 4/21/13, (1st timed run) Accumen 8K 51:09 10/14/12.
Back with the trainer today
4min warmup jog on TM @ 4.5, then increase .5 every 60 seconds to 6.0, then back to 4.0 for one minute and then repeat
3 stations, reps of 21, 15, 9
95lb back squat, 50lb sumo squat high pull (first round, then 45),, 95lb deadlift. Trainer had to help me with the bar after back squats, I couldn't put it over my head because of my shoulder. :(
30 minute killer kickboxing class... TONS and TONS of squats.
Swam a half mile open swim race. Didn't come in last and got swum over by some hot guys doing the mile race as an added bonus.

Hot guys are good way to make it worth the effort.... Our marathon group has some guys who almost insist in running shirtless; makes those out-and-backs a thrilling run!

We have a guy like that in our tri club's track workout. Except he's not quite hot enough.
