Wednesday Workouts
3.53 mile run this morning, 37:39, avg speed 10:39 mile!!
New PR for the 1 mile at 9:49, 5k at 31:47.
Got my new gizmo, heart rate monitor and I am averaging 170 bpm when on my runs. (Sitting around was 60-65 yesterday when I tested it out) Not sure if that is a "good" heart rate, I know it is on the top end of the scale at the gym, but I don't feel bad when running.
I am doing the Run-Walk-Run method so I am running faster than normal and then taking 1 minute walk breaks throughout the run. So not sprints by any means but def. faster than if I just go "run" for 35 minutes with no breaks.
Ran 2.80 early this am at 10 min/mile pace and later tonight will be group trackwork - - I think we're doing b/w 6-7 miles at or above pace (10:30ish). Doing 2-a-days to compensate for too much eating last week!
