Yes, another goofy question...

Hello pros!

I have another goofy question.  When I asked about running shoes, I received several suggestions to go and be fitted.  Well, you were  correct!  It was a great experience and a great savings.  I actually participated in my first 5Kon May 5th.  Now, my goofy question is this...my fitted running shoes are getting really dirty looking.  What is the best way to clean them?  They cost so much, I don't want to ruin them!

When shoes are wet (like from running in the rain), it's often recommended to stuff them with dry newspaper and set them outdoors to dry overnight. Once dry, you should be able to brush off any dirt with a shoe brush.

What I do with my shoes, which are minimalist and mostly mesh, is I throw them in the washing machine - which probably isn't a good idea for keeping their structural integrity, but I hate dirty & smelly shoes too!

I had a ball!  It was untimed because there was an obstacle course, as well.  The Dirty Girl 5K Mud Run.  I think I'm doing it again in Baltimore over the summer!
