Wednesday workouts
Ran 6.60 miles at 10:30 pace.... not sure why so slow, maybe b/c it was a solo run and I REALLY hate running alone

Is it getting warmer and warmer there? I'm struggling with the rising temperatures. It seems a lot harder to maintain paces that were previously getting to seem easy.
I did 4 miles today.
I also had an awesome NSV today. I'm new to running and new to my community so I barely know anybody much less many "running" friends. But, I did talk running with the mom of a kiddo in my son's class who ended up following my progress in my first half-marathon and emailed me congratulating me on my finish before I even got home. She encouraged me to join a women's running group that she belongs to, which I did, though I haven't run with them yet. Well, she emailed me asking me to join a marathon relay team that she put together! I was so flattered to be asked but am worried that I'll hold the rest of the team back and am not confident in my ability to run four legs because it takes me a while to "get my legs" on each run. I told her my concerns and am thinking that I may just do it anyway as long as the rest of the members understand that I'm a total baby runner!
congrats on the NSV! It's so motivating to have others believe in you and see your potential!!
It is getting hotter & humid here, so it really does affect pace. Ugh, training for Marine Corps is gonna be fun this summer.....

Trainer workout - 15 reps, 4 rounds
20lb incline chest fly (15lb first set, then 20 to finish)
25lb suicide jump / deadlift
BOSU plank jacks
10lb Med ball "suitcases" (crunch up / bent knees)
then Elliptical hills
1min @ resistance, then increase by 3 (start at 5% end at 17%), then recover 1 min and repeat
Then 30 minute Core / Upper body class - bicep curls, chest press, lawnmower / high pulls, etc
Heading to the little fitness room at my location now for a run
(got confirmations for registration at Mississippi Blues half and the San Antonio Rock n Roll half!!! )
