weekend workouts

On a mini-vacation with the hubby, who inconveniently is now in mid-UC-flare, in Gainesville FL to visit his alma mater for the 10 year anniversary of graduating with his masters'. Our first day here, Saturday, after checking into the hotel, I changed into my running clothes and ran 3 miles at 9:30pace!!! That's an accomplishment at 2 levels: I broke my recent running trends of slow & crappy runs, and it's my first time running on this campus, where I'd look at those skinny Bs running --- and NOW I AM ONE!!!

didn't post Friday, and it was an actually good workout day

1hr Spinnerval class - 3 songs, then circuit  -   3x each

Circuit was 3 stations, 60sec each station, 2x through -   35lb kettle bell swing, burpees, lateral box step (or jump but I stepped)

 

Then I ran errands, had an appointment, helped my mom, bought animal feed and groceries - unloaded animal feed (300 lbs + hay bale) and groceries and went to the Tabata class

20sec work, 10 sec transtion / rest, 8x each station before moving to next station

Hand release pushups, jump lunges on a BOSU, mountain climbers on BOSU,  Ax chop with 10lb dumb bell from a lunge, Battle rope (single arm)

 

Then I did 10 minutes on the elliptical before going to the Zumba class where I actually managed to keep up!!

Saturday - took my parents catfishing so no "formal" workout - but I loaded the van,unloaded it + 32lbs of fish, helped my mom, changed her sheets and mine, did laundry, fed animals then hauled 1 wheelbarrow of fill dirt from my parent's house to mine, then wised up and loaded my truck bed instead.  Used fill dirt to fill in holes (craters) dogs dug in my front yard.


Today = rest day!

Congrats on 2 levels of achievements running yesterday, must have felt awesome!!

 

I ran  a 5K today, very happy as I set  a PR of 24:52, coming in 187th out of 1400 runners in a race in Fall River, MA!! Yea Me...

 

Feeling like I got my groove back!!
