Sunday Workout

Hi all,

 

Been lurking and thought I would post today. I have NEVER been a runner but have been running for the last year or so. I did the Couch to 5K program and now have run 1/2 dozen 5k's, 2 10k's and am training for my 1st 1/2 Marthon in New  Bedford, MA on 3/17/13. I did 10 miles today and felt really strong...feeling more and more confident about the race.

I did a killer 10K race this morning. Let's just say my body hurts in ways I never knew possible. I dont want to be a runner if it involves runnning up steep hills.

did a mile of hills on the TM, had to stop - did something to my back unloading horse feed yesterday and it is awfully tight

Ran 6 miserable miles on my "long run day". Was supposed to be 13, as we're on taper, but it was so hot & humid that I just couldn't do more. Neither my body nor my heart were into it! I'm down in FL helping my mom move and spent 6hrs on Saturday and 13hrs on Sunday burning way more calories than I ever could consume! Even way underestimating the time I'm spending, MFP has me burning in the thousands... One more day to go, and tomorrow I go home! Looking forward to my routine, seeing my husband & kitties, running in sub-freezing temps and NEVER lifting another moving box AGAIN!!!!

Ran a local 5K with my 11 year old son. This was to get a start wave for the Peachtree road race 10K this summer.  He did amazing and finished in 33 and change.  My first real run or event since Last year.
