Monday not Funday Workouts

Ran 4.62 painful, sucky miles -- total junk.

I'm don't know what my problem was -- I may have been overdressed as it was quite warm out, maybe my legs are just dead from last week (31 miles!!) or maybe they were sore from the foam rolling I started Saturday. I tried everything, run/walk intervals, praying, keeping Van Halen's "Right Now" on repeat and I couldn't shake it off.  OH well, it's done and in the books. The next one will be better, I'm sure.

What did you all do?

50 minute spin class and a short core workout.  Didn't push too hard, still trying to recover from Saturday's 10 miler, but really worked up a sweat, just kept the resistance lower that I would have usually - felt good though.

1.5 miles walk to try to stretch out my left quad.  Then a 5 mile run. The first 3 sucked but by mile 4 things were much better!   Quad is still tight and sore but not painful. Going to hit the foam roller and probably cry but i know it will help. :-)

Lots of 5K's, 10K's., 4 1/2 Marathons, 3 Sprint Triathlon done. 2 Olympics and my  First IRONMAN 70.3 September 2013 and First Full Marathon Dec 2013  !!!!!

1.5 miles of .... not sure what to call it..... a walk/jump rope intervals? My husband walked, and I jumped rope next to him. Hey, at least it got my heart rate up and burned some calories so the excessive crap I ate today wasn't so impactful. Meh, tomorrow's another day....

How do you like the foam rolling??? and may I ask why are you doing it? I do mine for weak knee muscles. It really helps me.
