What are your fitness goals for 2013???
So assuming the world doesn't come to a screeching halt on 12/21, what are your fitness goals for 2013?
Mine- 3 sprint triathlons, 1 Olympic tri, Ironman 70.3 Augusta in Sept, and if I am not dead and my knees still work, a full Marathon in December. St. Jude was such an amazing experience and I would love for my first full to be there.
What are you thinking about doing?

1/2 marathon in February but haven't decided on tri season this year or not (I will decide after the 1/2) - but if I do I will probably stick with sprints. I would really like to see what a triathlon is like minus the 70 lbs I was carrying the last time I did them in 2008. I still have my runs on Nike+.com from then and definitely making improvements there.

I'm having a hard time even thinking that it is possible I want to run 13.1 miles for fun, so much of anything beyond that is almost unfathomable.
I have my first half marathon in March and I really, really want to run a sub-30 5K. I'm not sure how feasible that second goal is because I move only marginally slower than a turtle most days.
So, we'll see how it shakes out, I guess :)
I just want to run a mile haha :)
I want to run a sub 10 min mile at some point.
Definitely want to do another 1/2 marathon, and some sprint tris.
I guess it's good to set some goals and think about it. Thanks :)

You can do it. I started running at around an 18 min mile. Currently hovering around 10:04 for a 5k and an 11 min/mile for 6 miles plus. I too really really want that sub 30 min, 5k.

My only goal is to continue being a regular exerciser. And of course, to keep pushing myself through harder and harder workouts. I love being fit and don't take it for granted!
Thanks for making us think about this.......
I will put this out there.........depending on how my arthritic knees do in 2013, I would like to train for the Mercedes 1/2 marathon in Feb 2014.....
So when I'm down in AL for Christmas, we're gonna make sure you're on training schedule with a nice long run at Heardmount Park, right?? ;)
