New PR on my second 1/2.  I ended up at 2:45.  If it hadn't been hot, I think my time would have been better.  We went from highs in the 40's to a high of 70.  Blech.   And whoever called the course flat apparently does not understand the term "long grade".  No its not a hill but will still kick your ass.

I set a new PR for my second half as well at 3:11. I wanted to be under 3 hours, but did not make it. I got a major leg cramp at mile 11. I even had to stop and stretch at mile 13. I think I still need to work on balancing fluids and electrolytes during long runs.

Awesome job!!  What kind of hydration/nutrition plan are you using on your long runs?  I run my 1/2 with a 20oz of G2 which I add water to along the way.  This way I get to drink when ever I want and dont have to wait for the water stops. Congrats again on a great job!!!

ran a fever since Thursday .... All indications are that I have / had  the flu.... so I worked hard to hold down the couch and it took more effort than I ever thought possible to get up and walk to the kitchen or bathroom. Better today... I feel like I might live. If I could wake up.

OMG, I'm so happy for your PR! Did my first half 3hs ago & enjoying a well-earned beer here in Vegas! Did it in about 2:30, including one potty stop, many hydration & GUs, and l lost my mind at mile 11, which led to a couple walk stints... Thank God for my coaches & mentors who (nearly literally) pulled me thru for a running (and crying) finish!!
