I did a 5k for the local Alzheimer Family Services group this morning. It was pretty small but I love the courses that go through our downtown area. There were a couple of minor inconvenience type issues... the hydration station was off course and bottled water. I just skipped it since it was pretty cool. Also, the course was the same one my employer used for our 5k back in May - the turn around for the certified 5k is in front of a little park with a huge fountain... this course had you go around the park which made it 3.27 miles.

Regardless - I finished in 36:44 which, taking the extra distance into account, would have beaten my PR of 36:06.  I even ran the whole first mile - 10:53.  Woot!   After I finished I walked back a 1/2 mile and walked in with my friend.

Awesome job, everybody!

I did a 52-mile bike ride yesterday with 2900 ft elevation gain, averaging 16.9 mph.  21 mile ride with the Geezers of Fury this morning, 1350 ft elevation gain, about 14 mph.  Legs are totally tired.

Great job Lori!

I was sick, so sick, all weekend. I listened to the feverish body instead of the head and laid up on Saturday and Sunday. Lots of couch time with my family did me a world of good.

Closest I got in was about a mile run, but a great deal of walking & hiking thru the weekend. We were on vacation in Costa Rica so eating & training got tossed out the window... I did find a muddy soccer field to run a couple laps on though, and even posted photos to prove I ran!
