Yes and no.............
1-water is good for hydration, but more and more research has proven that tons of water alone DOES NOT promote weight loss
2-agreed
3-yes, we all need some fruits and veggies for a good balanced diet
4-this is a myth. Low fat diets are not always superior. A balanced diet with some rich, good oils (like rich omega 3's and olive oil) is the key.
5-Cardio should be part of a good, balanced exercise plan. Resistance/weight training is also important as the more muscle you have the better your metabolism is.
6-Recent studies have shown that it really doesn't matter what time you ingest your calories....the main rule of thumb is to burn more than you consume on a regular basis to lose weight.
7-always good advice
8-Fiber is good, but depending on your WLS, your eating plan may be more protein centered than fiber centered.

- When eating out, have a snack at least an hour before you eat out, so that you will not be so hungry when it's the real time to eat.
- Eat small portions but with more frequency. It helps in maintaining normal metabolism.
- Know your numbers. Know your desirable body weight, total energy requirement, body fat percentage, the number of weeks to lose weight safely, and ideal weight range according to your race.
