I am only a week post op of having gastric bypass and today I got Whey protein vanilla to start my protein drinks. I don't want to mix it with jus****er or skim milk I want it to be something I'm gonna like drinking. I was thinking about making iced coffee and add the power to make it taste good? I would have decaf coffee as much as I don't like it because my dr doesn't want me to have regular. Does anyone have any idea of good proteins recipes of someone who is a week post op of gastric bypass?

Thank you,
Ashley

Ashley, listen to your doctor, work with a nutrionist. Being a week post-op, your goal should be to follow your doctor's instructions to the tee. I am sure that he/she provided you instructions for the first 6 weeks and expectations for food intake. Not trying to be hard, but trying to redefine what you want to do one week into the process probably isn't in your best interest in the long run. Just my opinion.

Also, this is an exercise forum, so I would suggest that your question is best answered by those who post in the general forums. We focus on workouts, and achievements from a fitness, exercise, and related events. If you have a question on how to improve a workout, how to get started working out, what others have done with their exercise routines, etc... this is the place to be.

Good luck, and congratulations on making the decision to change your life through WLS.

I had WLS 5 years ago and it has taken me that long to find something that will give me the protien I need along with the nutrition. I started drinking Shakeology and loved it so much that I started selling it just so I could get the discount. Here is a breakdown of whats in it and here is a link to my website if you have any questions or want to try a weeks sample let me know and I can get some to you. There are 2 formulas whey and vegan. I prefer the vegan only because whey still makes me feel bloated.
