I have been walking and exercising for about 13 months very religiously but yesterday for the first time I came home from walking and I had really bad leg and foot cramps.. I mean really bad lasted about 30 minutes if not more i can tolerate pain but this was insane, scared me a bit. I take my vitamins, protein and drink water. any advise would be aprreciated.

Warm ups & cool downs are essential. A few min of dynamic stretching, jumping jacks, etc before you walk and a cool down that involves some goooood stretching for at least 5 min (holding each stretch for 30 sec). Have your recent labs shown low potassium? Bananas are good for that, if you can tolerate them.
